Metallica AMAZING! sound and The Q HORRIBLE!
Gnash concert, come on! Solos are a huge part as to why people pay such a huge $ amount for a ticket! Kirt didn't get his solos in, and I never did hear one solo in any of the songs they performed. The band had major PA issues; where my seat was, it was really bad. Huge kudos to the band for addressing the issue, but I was a little ticked because they continued playing, and as the issue was addressed, we were unable to hear clearly.
I went to a show in Columbus, Ohio a couple months back, and the arena rocked. The sound was crystal clear, very, very loud, our seats were amazing, tons of room, we even had a waiter! Yet the Q was cramped, sound totally blended, and we were in the same section at the Q as in Columbus. Yet tickets at the Q cost double the cost. I will not ever return to the Q for a concert again. I will take the extra hour to drive south.
Gnash was totally awesome again, as they always are. I just wish I would have heard it the way I have the last 15 or 20 times I've seen them. It was my son's first time seeing his most favorite band. Yet, totally stoked for just getting to see them perform live, he still says he wished it would have sounded better. So thank you, Gnash, for a heavy, hardcore, awesome show once again. But to the Q, my advice is do something really fast to fix this or burn to the ground!
